Our aim is to create places where everyone can take part: from learning repair and upcycling, to discovering ethical brands, or finding inspiration in a community of like-minded people. By building this network, we make it easier for individuals and families to live more sustainably, while helping practitioners share their talents and grow their businesses. Together, we are shaping a clothing culture that values care, creativity, and connection over fast fashion.
As a young fashion graduate in the early 90’s, I established Eco Clothing which was an environmentally friendly and ethically produced clothing label. The made-to-order model and party plan sales approach, minimised waste and raised awareness about the negative impacts of fast fashion.
After ten years, I shifted my focus to raising three children while applying my knowledge and skills to education, landscaping and residential building & design. In more recent years I have reignited my passion for both people and planet through my academic studies in behavioural science and social justice.
It is from here that I now intend to use my energy and resources in address the significant environmental and social problems facing the clothing & textile industry today. My new initiative ‘To the Power of You’ has been specifically formed to facilitate consumer behavioural change and to nurture micro producers dedicated to slow fashion principles. I hope you will join me on this journey and bring all of your capacity as a change maker to addressing the harms of the current clothing and textile systems.

We’re working to open Slow Fashion Hubs in community spaces across Australia, places where you can connect, learn, and grow. These hubs will host workshops, repair stations, and events designed to make sustainable fashion accessible for everyone. Digital hubs offer sector-specific communities, B2B networking, client tools, collective marketing, event circulation, and grant collaborations.
